For the last four years, Planet Weird’s Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult, the world’s only mobile museum full of haunted, cursed, and supernaturally-significant artifacts, has been fascinating thousands of people around the world while preserving paranormal history. Now, you can join the museum and help our groundbreaking work continue on an even bigger scale, while getting exclusive access to rare artifacts, private events, and more.
We started the Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult after twenty years of research into the realm of the unexplained, hoping to bring artifacts like The Dark Mirror, The Idol of Nightmares, and a plank from the real-life Amityville Horror house, to curious people across the country who might never have the opportunity to interact with haunted objects. Since we launched in 2013, we’ve taken the museum from coast to coast and the response to our exhibitions has been absolutely incredible. In fact, The Independent, one of the largest newspapers in the UK, just named The Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult one of the five weirdest museums to visit in 2017.
Now, we’re ready to take the museum to the next level, and we want you to be part of that journey. For the first time, The Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult has launched a special program aimed at funding several groundbreaking research projects – including a massive 3D scanning initiative – while giving members special behind-the-scenes access to artifact notes, unreleased evidence, and monthly shipments of exclusive goodies.
We’ve even opened up a museum advisory board, exclusive to ten seats, which nets its own perks, including 3D printed models of the artifacts in our collection and a private event with the museum at a haunted location. It’s been less than a week, and already half of the seats have been filled.
Perks to joining the Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult include:
Twice-monthly live video chats and experiments with the artifacts
Access to the museum evidence files (including pieces that will never be on display)
Signed pre-release copies of our upcoming books
Regular shipments of museum merchandise as it’s released
3D-Printed miniatures of museum artifacts each month
The museum’s private Skype number for advice or closer looks at artifacts
Private events in a haunted location, with all the museum artifacts, just for you.
One of the coolest membership levels, though, is the Magic of the Month Club, where Dana creates hand-made packages tailored for that month’s specific theme. Whether for luck, love, prosperity, or protection, her favorite crystals, hand-crafted incense, and other magical goodies will arrive at members’ doorsteps each month with instructions. She’s already hard at work on February’s package.
Nick Groff, creator and star of TLC’’s Paranormal Lockdown (as well as Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures), has experienced the Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult’s work first hand, and was one of the first people to become a museum member.
“I’ve been amazed by the paranormal evidence we’ve gathered around these unique objects,” Groff said. “The evidence is so bizarre and weird that it always leaves me wanting to investigate more. If you have the chance, you must experience the full effect of the museum in person.”
With upcoming television appearances on TLC’s hit series Paranormal Lockdown, Travel Channel’s Mysteries at the Museum, and Maine’s immensely popular series Haunt ME (more news on these soon), we’re bracing for 2017 to be the Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult’s biggest year ever, and part of that growth is a massive paranormal experiment that we’ve been referring to as “The Initiative”.
While we aren’t quite ready to divulge the specifics of The Initiative yet, we can tell you this: the project is the culmination of five years of experiments in the nature of paranormal activity – including haunted artifacts – and if the results are as we expect, paranormal investigation will never be seen the same way when the evidence is released. There’s no going back after The Initiative, and museum members will be the first to benefit from the payoff.
We’re beyond excited to open membership in the Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult, and incredibly humbled by the support the program has received so far.
